Tin Roof Farm is a small family run operation originally starting with Nubian Goats. Our farm consists of Dexter Cattle, Nubian Goats, Nigerian Dwarf Goats and American Guinea Hogs. Dexter cattle are registered with Legacy and both of our goat breeds are registered with ADGA. Registered breeding stock from our Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf Goats are available each year. For the next several years all of of our Dexter heifers will be retained while we build our herd. Our American Guinea Hogs (AGH) are purebred, but not registered.
All of our animals are raised humanely and as naturally as possible to create a low stress environment. Our herds are closed, meaning we do not show or take our animals off of our property nor do we allow other animals on our property except for introducing new genetics. Our cattle never receive any grain and are both grass fed and finished. Other than hay in the Winter and pasture in the warm months, they only receive loose minerals free choice and water. Our AGH are only fed hay in the Winter and pasture in the warm months, never grain. In addition, they also receive milk from our own animals when available.

Unfortunately we are not offering goat shares at this time. Weston A. Price Foundation is a good place to look for farms near where you live, however it does not appear their list is updated often.
